I have this theory that all sorts of stimuli exhaust our nervous system: be it auditory, wind stimulation of skin, shaking or even smells. That's why people get tired flying on airplane, spending a day outside seemingly doing nothing, etc etc

Is this supposed to be a revolutionary European invention?

"In 1839, the ability of some materials to create an electrical charge from light exposure was first observed by the French physicist Edmond Becquerel"

So yes

Neither the title nor the article implied so.

For some it's more iconic than for others.

What is that supposed to mean? Don't paraphrase, just say it.

Christo Grozev is a former member of the Navalny team and now journalist for Der Spiegel.

Christo Grozev was also featured in the documentary Navalny, that was awarded with Oskar in documentary category.

I would not bet against RedBird and Ellisons.

One must.

What did they do with CBS?! Made it more balanced?

If “more balanced” means “lapdog for the administration”, sure

"For quality of life, it is better to err on the side of being an optimist and wrong, rather than a pessimist and right." -Elon Musk

Is that true? I’m not so sure. In the 1950s I could have been optimistic that asbestos won’t give people cancer.

“Some of you may die, but that’s a risk I’m willing to make” -also Elon Mush probably

Profound quotes are only profound when said by someone who's widely respected.

How many multi billion dollar companies have you founded?

Publicly traded ones? As many as Elon, why do you ask?

Optimism is a luxury for those who won't be the ones paying for the mistake.

I'm optimistic that my favorite team will play well this season.

I ain't paying for shit.

If only I took life advice from ketamine junkies.

Good. Otherwise this President Reagan quote comes to mind:

"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

What’s the relevance on that quote here?

Visa stock is essentially unchanged in the last month, in the last three months.

The murder of the Washington Post has been ruled a suicide. Guess peddling a one sided world view is not very profitable.
