I've always hated how flashlights seem to fit everyone's use case, but never anyone specifically.
Yes, the lonely hiker might need the stobe mode, but most normal people do not. (let alone epileptics!)
The person using the flashlight to illuminate something they're working on probably does not need to illuminate nearby mountain tops (and will need 1/2 hour to recover their night vision after that)
and there are two bike light modes -- one to be seen, one to see.
